Terms of Service
Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Syvara Learning, LLC
These terms govern your use of Syvara Software & Data Training (the "Platform"), operated by Syvara Learning, LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
1. The service
The Platform offers online training in software, data and AI, including Python, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Claude and agentic AI. It includes self-paced courses with video and reading lessons, hands-on labs and quizzes, an AI Tutor, and paid one-on-one coaching sessions with Dr. Sharon. Features, courses and content may change over time.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these terms for you.
- You sign in with a verified email address. Keep access to your email and any password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account is for one person. Sharing an account or its paid access is not allowed. Training for a team is arranged separately; contact us.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address up to date so we can reach you about purchases and sessions.
3. Courses and the all-courses bundle
- Buying a course gives you access to all of that course's lessons, labs and quizzes. The all-courses bundle gives you access to every course on the Platform.
- The bundle also includes the AI Tutor for 6 months from the date of purchase, and one free one-on-one coaching session of up to 60 minutes. If you book a longer session, you pay only for the extra time.
- Completion certificates are included when you own a course (bought on its own or with the bundle). Members can buy a certificate for $19.99 per course. A certificate confirms you completed our course; it is not an official certification from Microsoft, Anthropic or any other vendor.
- Lifetime access means access for as long as the Platform operates, including updates we make to the course. If we ever retire a course you bought, we will tell you by email at least 60 days before it is removed.
- Some courses are still being written. Lessons marked "Coming soon" are added over time; the course page shows what is available now.
- Refunds within 14 days are explained in our Refund Policy.
4. Membership
- The monthly membership is billed in advance and renews automatically each month until you cancel. It includes every course and the AI Tutor while it is active.
- You can cancel anytime from My Account → Manage / cancel subscription. Your access continues until the end of the month you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- If we change the membership price, we will tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies to your next renewal.
5. Payments
Courses, the bundle, full worked answers from the AI Tutor and coaching sessions are one-time purchases. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes or fees charged by your bank.
6. Coaching sessions
- Sessions are held online by video at the time shown on your booking (in the time zone stated on the booking page). The hourly rate depends on the topic area you choose when booking.
- You can cancel online for a full refund up to 24 hours before the start. Within 24 hours, please message Dr. Sharon from your booking page; any change or refund is at her discretion.
- If Dr. Sharon cancels a session, you receive a full refund.
- If you do not join within 15 minutes of the start, the session may be treated as missed without a refund.
- Coaching is guidance and teaching. Dr. Sharon does not log in to, change or take responsibility for your employer's or clients' systems unless you agree on that separately in writing.
7. The AI Tutor
The AI Tutor is powered by an artificial intelligence model. It is designed to guide you step by step, but it can make mistakes, including in code and queries. Review and test what it suggests before relying on it. Daily message limits apply to keep the service fair for everyone. Do not paste passwords, API keys, or confidential or personal data from your employer or clients into the AI Tutor.
8. Using what you learn at work
Courses, labs and the AI Tutor teach techniques that can change or delete data, such as SQL statements, database administration tasks, scripts and automated AI agents. Practice on your own computer, a sample database or a test environment, follow your employer's policies, and take a backup before running anything that changes data. You are responsible for what you run on real systems, and we are not liable for data loss, downtime or other results of applying what you learn.
9. Integrity
The Platform is for learning and practice. Do not use it to complete certification exams, employer assessments, school assignments or other tests where outside help is not allowed, or present our materials as your own work. Completing a course on the Platform is not an official certification from Microsoft, Anthropic or any other vendor.
10. Our content
All lessons, videos, labs, quizzes, sample databases, code and other materials on the Platform are owned by Syvara Learning, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning, and you may use the techniques you learn and short code examples in your own work. You may not copy, share, sell, post publicly, or automatically download ("scrape") the course materials, or use them to train AI models, without our written permission. Product names such as SQL Server, Power BI, Python and Claude belong to their owners.
11. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Platform: no attempts to break its security or paywall, no automated access, no harassment, and no unlawful or abusive content in messages or uploads. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any current membership.
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to make lessons and explanations accurate and up to date, but software changes quickly and the Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any job, promotion, certification, salary or business result.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Syvara Learning, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, unless the consumer laws of your country give you the right to bring a claim where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or on the Platform before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
